My fiance and I really have different ideas about the music: He wants a dj to play disco music into the night so everybody can get drunk and dance. I don't mind doing that; just not at my wedding. I want a nice band to play songs we know, but play them with some class. How can I force my fiance to see that I am right and this is better?

Yes, your idea is better. But first of all, congratulations on having a fiance who's involved. If this is his only involvement, you might need to back down a little and let the boy have his way. But, you can always insist on a list of (classy) songs to be played, and make sure the list is long enough that it gives him less time to listen to the Ramones or ABBA.
