I received my BSN in 1985 from Villanova University and began a Nursing Career at Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank, NJ, where I worked from Staff RN to Director of Professional and Staff Development. I received my Masters in Nursing Education from Teachers College, Columbia University in 1993 while pregnant with my first daughter, Jaclyn.
I was first diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes, at age nine, back in 1972. My most ardent ambition is to publish realistic, applicable information to help those coping with diabetes live their lives fully and healthily. I am currently completing my book entitled The Diabetes College Handbook.
As if my life isn’t hectic enough, my two active daughters - Allison, age 11, and Jaclyn, age 15 - keep me on a demanding All-Star Cheer schedule, which includes a nationwide competition schedule.
