I haven't read up on it, but what I can tell you is that Japanese cars defnitely last longer in terms of mileage and condition. They are also known to have stronger engines making it easier to drive up hills and things like that. A good magazine to read though is car and driver. They usually come out with all the latest statistics. Good luck
