Is it practical to consider studying outside of the U.S. to avoid such high costs?

I was considering studying in another country all together because of the cost here in the U.S. Has anyone had any experience with doing their whole degree abroad?

I was considering this, as well. I think that if you mean to come back to the United States later in life, you must be careful. Degrees from some countries are not as well regarded, and some are not recognized at all. If you can ensure that you are fine on this point, though, I am sure it would be a very unique experience and give you an interesting or competitive edge for grad school.

It depends on your perspective on life. If you are ready for culture shock on top of the rest of the pressure and difficulties that come with college life and academics than go for it. I also would make sure to look into study visas, how that works, and if you would be able to get a work visa on top of that if you wanted some pocket money. IF you have figured all of this out and are still feeling positive about it than I definitely think it is doable. Look how many foreigners come to America to study for four years. They struggle, but in the end it feels great to know you were able to overcome a challenge.
