I know what kind of dog I want - it's a specific breed. But I feel so guilty not getting a dog from the pound. Am I a bad person for wanting to hand-pick a special breed of puppy?

Any person who works at the pound who is worth anything will tell you to get the dog you will love the most - even if it's from the breeder. I can't stand those people that make even the people who want dogs - like you! - have a guilt trip. You're doing a good thing! Your getting a new dog and you're going to love it.
