Include in your time capsule:
* Pictures of yourself. Twenty, ten, or even five years from now, you'll be amazed to see the clothes and hairstyles of your freshman self.
* And of course, add pictures of your friends!
* A list of your favorites: music, movie, book, game, Website, place, person, outfit, restaurant, activity, class, professor. What's your favorite color? What was your best day this year? Who is your best friend?
* A letter to the 'you' of the future: Write about your hopes, your dreams, your worries, your fears, and your values.
All done? Now for the final and most important steps. Pack everything into a Ziploc bag, seal it up, and place the bag in a box. Label the box "Time Capsule; to be opened in 2018." Now tape the box shut with packing tape.
Who knows where you'll be when you open it again - and what kind of person you will have become. But wherever you are and whatever you're doing, you'll value the glimpse into your past.
P.S. Remember where you store the box!

DON'T SLACK ACADEMICALLY, but keep in mind that 10 years from now you'll probably remember a great night out with friends more than you will a grade on a midterm.

ONE DAY I SORT OF WOKE UP and said, "Wow! I'm going to be graduating from college and I want to make sure that I have lived up to the experience and did everything I wanted to do." I felt like I would miss out if I didn't do it. If you don't get involved in extracurricular activities, I almost guarantee you will regret it.
