Where is the best place to meet people and start my life at a new college when everyone else my age has already been for two years?
I am transferring from a community college to a 4 year university and would love some advice about arriving at a new place after everyone else my age.

Live in the dorms! If the dorms at your school are mostly freshman than try and find random roommates from the college website or signs around town so that you can make friends quickly without really trying. Intramurals is also a great way to meet people and usually the team goes out afterwards. If you are into that type of thing you could still always pledge a frat, but the people who are in charge of you may be younger and that may bother you. The freshman will love you anyway because you are already 21. Dont play those girls too much, they can be very sensitive. :O)

Join clubs. I am not sure what college you are attending, but at my school they have a club for everything from hanggliding to chess. Through this you can see what the school population is like and open your horizons at the same time. If you are into politics you can also join the school government or one of the clubs supporting a political cause. College is filled with people who want to meet other people so I wouldn't be too worried.
