In the long run doing the right thing is always the right policy. You will be valued for doing the right thing. The challenge is determining the right thing.

If the stealing is minimal and you can intercede with the the thief to stop the theft or to have them make amends then that might be best...because one should avoid being the company policeman of minimal things.....but if it is serious you must bring it up with the appropriate superiors.
