I find that if I embrace all the monotonous stuff that corporate workplaces are known for, it helps me get through. For instance, I'll hang out at the office water cooler and tell stories about what I saw on television the night before. And I'll make a comment that this is such a cliche thing to do, talking by the water cooler at the office, just to give the situation a sense of irony. Also, I will use terms like "thinking outside the box" and "ramp up plans on that" as I make quote marks in the air. It really helps! And people think I'm a little crazy, which is not a bad thing in a work environment.
