I have so much stuff that I want to get rid of. I'll give some away, but some of the other stuff is valuable - garage sale?

I've made so much money selling my stuff at consignment shops instead of throwing it away. There is always someone else willing to buy your stuff, and consignment shops make it easy!

Have a private sale. Invite friends and co-workers over for a potluck dinner/auction and sell things you don't want anymore. Tell them it's going toward the moving fund. Be prepared to be embarrassed about the junk you are dumping on them, be fair with the prices, and enjoy getting rid of things that someone else can use.
