Three Test-Taking Tips That Sound Silly But Work Wonderfully

Willing to get a little goofy for good grades?

1. If you have friends in the same class, tell them that even though you love them, you don’t want them to talk to you right before the test. You don’t want to psych each other out by talking about how nervous you are. 2. If your test is being given in a different room than where you normally have class, take a personal field trip to the test location. Sit in one of the seats for a few minutes. Look around the room. Is it warm? Chilly? Now you know how to dress on test day. You also know how to get there, so you won’t get lost on the big day and arrive for the test feeling panicky. 3. Pick one outfit and wear it whenever you study for the test. Wear the same outfit when you take the test. Honestly, this will help you remember what you studied! (But it’s okay to wash the outfit before test day.)
