Get to know the people that are in your classes. If you don't already, socialize with your classmates. That's also a good way to form new friendships.

Join a couple of groups on campus that interest you. This is a great way to meet new people and make new friends.

I think besides these ideas which are great sometimes the people who live in the town you go to school in can be fun. Maybe there are other colleges near by and you can meet them at a gym unaffiliated with the college or get a job where you have to interact with a lot of people such as a waiter or bartender. There is never a shortage of people-dont worry its only temporary.
