My daughters hate me and my new fiance - help!
My two teenage daughters hate me & my fiance as they see him as the reason for me leaving their dad. After 18 months of seeing each other, we've just got engaged and my eldest daughter (16) has told me that she and her sister will never see or speak to me again. They live with their Dad who is just as bitter but their little sister (8) lives with me and they are constantly pushing her to live with them. They live 2 hours away. My eldest daughter & I talk around in cirlces all the time about everything til we're blue in the face but she maintains that she feels like I chose my fiance over them. Unfortunately, their Dad is of the same opinion so I'm not sure that there's much else I can do except wait for life, and experience to tell them differently. Is this foolish? Is there anything else I can be doing/saying?

I don't know the reasons why you left your husband and daughters. But ask yourself if the new fiance is really worth losing them. Was your ex husband horrible or abusive to you? Or did you dump him for this new fiance? Unless your ex treated you badly, then your daughters are right.
