RE: Does the amount of diversity in a school reflect their policies?
I am pretty sure that it doesnt say much about school policies besides the fact that it means they do not use affirmative action. Sometimes schools are affiliated with certain religious organizations but they will rarely deny someone entry if they are not a member of this sect. What does happen sometimes, though, is that if you do end up studying at for example, a jesuit university you will have to take a few classes on christianity.

A school that promotes diversity can be a very rewarding environment. Much of college is about the people that you meet. Meeting new and challenging people with experiences that you have never collected can be a great part of your education. I think one should certainly pay attention to diversity in choosing a school.

I think diversity in the student body is very important because college is a place where you should be opening your horizons, but I also think that the faculty should be diverse as well. If you have a class on a certain region of the world , the teacher should come from that region-I feel it is more authentic.
